Waumba Land is the ministry space designed with children ages 18 months–Kindergarten in mind. In Waumba Land, preschoolers learn about God in a fun and engaging way. Every preschooler can plan on lots of singing, dancing, and learning every week. They will learn that :

1. God MADE me.

2. God LOVES me.

3. Jesus wants to be my FRIEND forever.

Waumba Land means 'The Creator's Land' in Swahili 

SMALL GROUP Ministry Roles:

1. Small Group Leader (Commitment: Weekly-One Gathering) Need :  

   • Connects relationally with eight to ten children to speak truth into their lives and celebrate spiritual growth. 

   • Need : 5 more

2. Shadow (Commitment: Weekly-One Gathering)

   • Connects relationally to a child, providing one-on-one support within a regular small group setting.

   • Need : 4 more

3. Mid-Week Admin (Commitment: Weekly) 

   • Provides support by preparing curriculum and equipping Small Group Leaders to create an irresistible Sunday environment.

LARGE GROUP Ministry Roles:

1. Platform Host / Bible Story Teller (Commitment: Fortnightly- AM/PM) 

   • Captures the attention of children by bringing fun and excitement to large group. Communicates the Bible story in such a way that it is unforgettable to a child. 

   • Need : 1 more

2. Singing (Commitment: Fortnightly- AM/PM)

   • Leads kids with energy and enthusiasm to worship God for who He is and what He’s done. 

   • Need : 1 more

3. Tech Team(Commitment: Fortnightly) 

   • Enhances the large group experience through stage management, sound, lights, and video without distracting

UpStreet is for PrePrimary-Year 5 aged children and takes place every Sunday 9:00 and 10:30am.

On UpStreet, we believe the Bible should never be boring, worship can be really loud, and good leaders always care. Before kids head off to secondary school, we want to make sure these three things stick:

1. I need to make the wise choice.

2. I can trust God no matter what.

3. I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

The focus in UpStreet is our small group environment.

We want kids to see how God’s Word fits in to their lives, to learn how to talk to Him, and to build friendships that will last. That’s why it’s important that your child connects with the same friends, same leaders, at the same hour…every Sunday!

What is Transit?

Transit is a Sunday environment designed specifically for Year 6-7 students. It includes games, teaching and guided small group discussion. Our Transit small groups are led by adults committed to helping students develop a faith of their own. 

SMALL GROUP Ministry Roles:

1. Small Group Leader (Commitment: Weekly - One Gathering only)

   • Connects relationally with eight to ten High School Students to speak truth into their lives and celebrate spiritual growth. Each Transit Small group ideally have 2 adult Small Group Leaders. 

   • Need : 2 more

What is The Rocks Youth?

The Rocks Youth is a Friday evening environment designed for high school students (Year 7-12) curious about faith and eager to discover how a relationship with Jesus could change their lives, their schools, and our city. It includes a live band, practical teaching and guided group discussion. Youth small groups are led by adults committed to equipping students to successfully navigate high school and develop a faith of their own.

The Rocks Youth meets on Fridays (during the school term) at 6:30 p.m. at The Rocks Baldivis and The Rocks Cannington.

Ministry Roles:

1. Small Group Leader (Commitment: Weekly - Every Friday night during School Term | 5:30-10.30PM) 

   • Connects relationally with 8-10 High School Students to speak truth into their lives and celebrate spiritual growth. Each TRY small group ideally has 2 adult Small Group Leaders. 

   • Checks in on their small group members through text, call, zoom, in-person during the week.

   • Initiates small group hang outs during school holidays.

   • Need : 4 more

2. Check-In (Commitment: Fortnightly - One Gathering) 

   • Makes the best first impression by greeting guests and guiding new families through the registration and check-in process to make them feel welcomed and informed. 

   • Need : 6 more

3. Food & Beverages (Commitment: Fortnightly - One Gathering) 

   • Makes students stay comfortable by preparing and serving food and drinks.

   • Need : 3 more

4. Venue Setup (Commitment: Fortnightly - One Gathering, 5:00PM-6:00PM)

   • Sets up the venue (foyer, auditorium) for hangout and gathering.

   • Need : 3 more

5. Photographer (Commitment: Fortnightly - One Gathering, 6:30-9:00PM)

   • Captures all the best moments during before, during, and after the gathering.

   • Edits photos and uploads the Google Drive soon after a Friday night night

   • Need : 3 more

6. Graphic Designer (Commitment: Weekly (midweek) - not required to come on a Friday)

   • Creates graphics and/or video content for TRY social media, weekly programming, events, and website.

   • Need : 3 more

8. Social Media Manager (Commitment: Weekly (midweek) - not required to come on a Friday)

6. • Strategises and plan weekly content for TRY social media.

   • Schedules posts and curate captions to communicate effectively to the target audience - teenagers.
